Abstract
The introduction and use of new technologies have brought about significant changes in institutional and structural frameworks, alongside operational and economic advantages. These emerging "disruptive" technologies go beyond just providing practical solutions—they are reshaping institutional structures, challenging established systems, and suggesting alternative models. A central concept in this area is decentralization, which involves distributing power and responsibilities across various entities. This study explores the role of decentralization in modern technologies, focusing on examples like blockchain, peer-to-peer networks, and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). It shows that decentralization in these technologies not only spreads data and processing tasks but also redistributes decision-making power and authority. By examining real-world cases and assessing the impact of decentralization, this research identifies key implementation factors, explores challenges, and evaluates the benefits and drawbacks of these technologies.
