Abstract
The oil and gas industry depends heavily on technological advancements, which play a vital role in the economic growth of oil-producing nations. Despite opportunities for innovation and access to new technologies, these advancements are often controlled by major global oil corporations.
This study explores various methods of technology transfer and the support structures that facilitate this process. Conducted as a library-based research study, it is divided into three sections. The first defines technology and its significance in the oil and gas sector. The second examines the mechanisms and importance of technology transfer within the industry. The final section discusses technological development and its role in oil contracts.
The findings highlight that while technology transfer and development are crucial for industry progress, safeguarding intellectual property and proprietary assets remains equally important.
