Abstract
Rapid technological advancements have significantly reshaped the regulatory landscape, posing substantial challenges for regulatory authorities. Today, regulatory institutions can adapt by introducing new regulations or revising existing ones to safeguard public interests. This study explores regulatory technology (RegTech) as an effective governance tool in the financial sector, addressing its definition, importance, challenges, obstacles, and potential solutions. The research employs a systematic review of credible and selected sources. Findings reveal that RegTech enhances regulatory efficiency, ensures compliance with existing regulations, improves future regulatory processes, manages risks, analyses big data, prevents crimes and violations, and facilitates timely and accurate adherence to regulatory requirements. Additionally, RegTech can play a vital role in protecting intellectual property rights and responding swiftly to regulatory authorities.
